The honest take
Walkerhill is the obvious KBW base for anyone prioritising the main conference, institutional programme and on-site meetings. The trade-off is location: the river-and-mountain setting is restorative, but many Seoul side events still require a car or subway transfer.
KBW places the main conference at Walkerhill and publishes preferential rates for both hotel properties. The 2026 registration desk is on B1, connected from the Grand Hotel entrance and parking tower.
Grand Walkerhill is the larger, more traditional conference hotel. Vista is more design-led, with 42 m² entry rooms, a spa focus and river-facing wellness spaces. Both keep the main event close.
Achasan trails, forest paths and Hangang views sit outside the halls. That separation is unusually useful after a dense day—provided you accept the transfer when an evening event is elsewhere in Seoul.

From post-war landmark to independent Seoul resort
Walkerhill opened in April 1963 and was named for US Army commander Walton H. Walker. SK acquired the hotel in 1973, a new 538-room Sheraton tower followed in 1978, and the resort moved to independent Grand Walkerhill and Vista Walkerhill identities in 2017.
Walkerhill hosted the KBW main conference in 2024 and 2025 and returns for the 2026 institutional summit and main conference. KBW also lists both Grand and Vista as official hotels with preferential attendee rates.
